We are looking for a Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join our growing team in Loughborough.
The role is suitable for a solicitor from newly qualified up to around 8 years’ PQE, with the level of responsibility and caseload tailored to the experience of the successful candidate.
The role
Our Dispute Resolution team deals with a broad range of civil litigation and contentious matters, acting for both individuals and businesses.
The work includes:
- General litigation – advice and representation in a wide range of civil disputes
- Landlord and tenant – commercial and residential disputes, lease renewals, possession proceedings and service charge disputes
- Property ownership disputes – including advising unmarried couples on complex property and ownership matters
- Contested probate – including Inheritance Act claims, executor disputes and challenges to Wills
- Debt recovery – acting for businesses and individuals, including court proceedings and enforcement
You will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload, deal directly with clients and work on a varied range of interesting and often complex disputes.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, or due to qualify shortly
- Has an interest in developing their career in Dispute Resolution
- Has good written and verbal communication skills
- Is confident dealing directly with clients
- Can manage their own caseload and work to deadlines
- Takes a practical and commercial approach to resolving disputes
- Takes pride in providing a high level of client service
- Is willing to get involved and contribute to the continued development of the department
Previous experience in Dispute Resolution is preferred, but we are happy to consider newly qualified solicitors with relevant training and the right attitude.

- Salary of £35,000 – £50,000, depending on experience
- 22 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays
